Holiday Blues

I don't know about you, but the whirlwind/pressure of the holidays combined with trudging back to work yesterday left me in a teensy bit of post-holiday funk. I thought I'd share some links, just in case I'm not the alone one feeling a bit run down/blah:

How do you deal with the post-holiday blues? For me, getting some fresh air helps a bit, as well as doing something I don't normally take the time to do (give myself a facial, go to bed at 8:00, etc). What do you guys do to feel better after Christmas?

I find it's helpful even just knowing it exists, and that I should expect it, and that it will pass.

I also find it helpful to get excited about the Christmas clearances. A little "hair of the dog that bit you."

I'm trying to make Christmas last a little longer this year to combat some of that. Instead of just the day after, closing the door on Christmas; it's over, wrap it up now... I'm trying to let it slowly unwind. I'm not taking the tree down yet and I'm still playing Christmas music. Yes, things are going back to their normal routine, but we did that before Christmas too. I want to still celebrate in these actual "12 Days of Christmas". If I let it go slowly it's not such a let down and a shock to my system.

I baked more cookies yesterday.

And yes, the clearance sales help tremendously!! New decorations (lots of winter decorations you can still leave up for the next couple of months)! New ornaments! Gifts to pack away for next year already! Practical things like gift boxes and rubbermaid tubs! So cheap!!!
